“It's hard to believe evil and animal abuse exists in our county to the extent that we have seen lately. Last week the Pleasanton animal control officer got a call to pick up a cat on the east side of Pleasanton that was found in the street. When he got there he found a cat that had been severely burned and dumped, unable to walk. Someone had either poured battery acid on him or gasoline and set him on fire. It's hard to distinguish what happened since there was so much dead tissue. A local vet kept him, now named Hashbrown, and watched him. She said he was very sweet and healthy otherwise and thought he would have a full recovery if he had someone to care for him through his recovery.. Hashbrown is very loving and trusting with those who love him.”
